Interface Overview¶
The framed instrument UI: page buttons across the top, live gauges, the transmission panel, and context-sensitive help.
What it is¶
Engone's interface is built to feel like a piece of bench test equipment. A top bar holds the page buttons that switch between the major screens, the center shows gauges and live readouts, and a transmission panel reports gear, clutch, and drivetrain state.
The top-bar pages are:
- Setup — build and configure the engine (see Engine Setup).
- Fuel — base fuelling, injectors, and enrichment (see Fuel).
- Lambda — the target air–fuel ratio map.
- Ignition — the spark advance table and knock settings.
- Dyno — load the engine and measure power (see Dyno).
- Options — game and display settings.
Why it matters¶
Each page maps directly to a stage of the ECU's logic. Knowing where a setting lives — and which gauge reflects it — is how you connect a change you make to the behavior you see. The gauges (RPM, MAP, lambda, temperatures) are your primary feedback while tuning.
How to use it¶
Watch the live readouts while you change a value, not after. Most tuning in Engone is a loop: adjust a table cell, run the engine at that operating point, read the gauge, adjust again.
The ? help tooltips
Most fields have a ? marker. Hover it for a one-line quick tip; click it to open the
matching page on this wiki. The tooltips link straight to the slugs used here, so the help and
the manual always agree.
In the game¶
The page buttons are along the top bar; the active page is highlighted in bright ivory. Press Tab to minimize the UI and see the engine unobstructed.
